Want a vaccine appointment in Michigan? Here's how

Michigan said Friday it's expanding vaccination eligibility to all Michiganians 16 and older starting April 5. Also Friday, the Biden administration announced Friday that Detroit's Ford Field will host a federally run mass vaccination site starting March 24, with the capability to vaccinate 6,000 people a day.
Starting March 22, Monday, residents or individuals who are ages 50 and above will be eligible to get vaccines.
Michigan had vaccinated more than 1 million residents through March 10, covering 12.5% of the state population, according to state data.
To join the ranks of the vaccinated, eligible residents have a variety of providers who can register them for a shot. Among them:
Call the Michigan COVID-19 Hotline at (888) 535-6136 Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Call 2-1-1 for assistance connecting to your local testing site.
Contact a pharmacy that is offering shots. In Michigan, providers include Kroger (https://www.kroger.com/rx/covid-eligibility), Meijer (text “COVID” to 75049, call your local store pharmacy or go to https://clinic.meijer.com/register/CL0001) and Rite Aid (http://ritea.id/michigan).

Below is a rundown of vaccine providers in Metro Detroit, broken down by county and city:
Macomb County
As of Friday, the county was reporting 56,927 cases and 1,870 deaths from COVID-19.
To make an appointment by register online at www.MacombGov.org/covidvaccine. Vaccines are being administered at the Verkuilen Building, 21885 Dunham Road in Clinton Township.
The county reports it has received 87,805 doses and administered 65,793; its vaccination rate is 20.7%.
The SMART bus system is fielding calls and registering seniors on a waitlist, which the county will use to set up appointments when vaccines are available. SMART will also make transportation arrangements for those who request assistance.
Seniors should call the SMART Macomb Vaccine Hotline at (586) 421-6579 to register for the county waitlist.

Oakland County
The county reports receiving 112,975 vaccine doses and administering 94,224, with a vaccination rate of 24%. Oakland County has had 65,824 cases of COVID-19 and 1,606 deaths.
Eligible residents can register for a shot by using the Save Your Spot link at https://oaklandcountyvaccine.com/appointments/. Residents can also text OAKGOV to 28748 for updates. For anyone unable to complete the form, call the health hotline at (800) 848-5533.
Homebound county residents can arrange to have a provider administer a shot where they live by calling Ready Nursing Solutions at (810) 331-0902 or by registering online at https://getreadyvaccine.com/patient-intake-form.

Wayne County
The county reports receiving 112,590 doses and administering 87,514, with a vaccination rate of 23.4%. Wayne County reports 66,813 cases of COVID-19 and 2,111 deaths.
The county opened several free clinics to vaccinate seniors last month including:

Detroit
The city reports receiving 159,520 doses and administering 130,779, with a vaccination rate of 13.4%. Detroit has had 33,238 cases of COVID-19 and 1,994 deaths.
Last week, Mayor Mike Duggan announced city residents 50 or older with chronic medical conditions that make them more vulnerable to COVID can get vaccinated at the TCF Center downtown.

The mass vaccination clinic that opens Monday will be open 8 a.m.-8:30 p.m., seven days a week for eight weeks under the federal government's vaccination pilot program. The Ford Field site is not taking reservations yet, but Gov. Gretchen Whitmer's office said instructions on how to book an appointment will be announced in the next few days.
Senior Saturdays are by appointment only for city residents 65 years and older. Appointments are available for through March 20 at:

Kalamazoo
Kalamazoo County Health & Community Services Department is vaccinating K-12 schools and childcare workers, first responders, corrections staff, congregate living staff and residents 65 or older.
Those 65 and older can complete a pre-registration form to be placed on a waitlist.

Kent
Kent County health officials are focusing on essential workers and seniors 65 and older.
Eligible West Michigan residents can register through local health departments and hospitals online at vaccinatewestmi.com/register/.

Washtenaw
The Washtenaw County Health Department is focusing on essential, front-line workers and those age 65 and older. Eligible residents can fill out a vaccine request online.

Lower Peninsula
Livingston County is prioritizing 1B essential workers and seniors. Fill out a form online with the Livingston County Health Department.
In Hillsdale County, Hillsdale Community Health is vaccinating those ages 60 and older in Branch, Hillsdale, and St. Joseph counties through online registration.
Residents in Arenac, Clare, Gladwin, Isabella, Osceola or Roscommon counties can join Central Michigan District Health Department's waitlist online.
Residents in Alpena, Cheboygan, Montmorency and Presque Isle counties can submit a pre-registration vaccine request online.
St. Clair County is also offering online pre-registration for those who live or work in the county.
Upper Peninsula
The Marquette County Health Department is accepting registrations at mqthealth.org. Those needing help registering can call (906) 475-7847 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
The Dickinson-Iron District Health Department will begin registering individuals who are 50 and older next week.
For Dickinson County residents, scheduling will begin at 8 a.m. Monday, with a link posted to didhd.org so individuals can set their own appointment. Those without computer access may call (906) 774-1868 to schedule.
For Iron County residents, scheduling will begin at 8 a.m. Tuesday, with a link posted to didhd.org for individuals to set their own appointment. Those who do not have computer access may call (906) 265-9913 to schedule.

Schoolcraft County: Call Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital at (906) 341-3775 to schedule an appointment or get on their waiting list, or register online.
Luce County: To be put on a list to schedule a vaccine appointment, visit online or leave a message at the COVID-19 Vaccination voicemail box by calling (906) 293-9289.
Mackinac County: Visit LMASDHD.org to access the online waiting list forms or call Mackinac Straits Health System at (906)328-2159 or LMAS at 906-643-1100 if you need assistance with being placed on a waiting list.
