WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congresswoman Debbie Dingell (D-MI) today released the following statement celebrating President Joe Biden’s Health Care Executive Orders. As a member of the Energy & Commerce Health Subcommittee, Dingell has been a leader in Congress in fighting to defend the Affordable Care Act and expand access to health care for seniors, people with disabilities, and Medicaid beneficiaries. She is also the co-author of the House Medicare For All legislation.

“Health care is a human right. In the middle of a pandemic that has infected more than 25 million Americans, we need to take concrete actions that will make those words true,” said Congresswoman Dingell. “By rebuilding the ACA and strengthening Medicaid, President Biden will help patients gain access to lifesaving care at a price they can afford. Now, Congress must act to move this nation closer to universal health care.”
