DINGELL: OUR WORKERS DESERVE HIGHER WAGESDPCC Co-Chair Debbie Dingell Appeared on FOX Business, Saying Minimum Wage Workers Have Kept Our Society Going During the Pandemic

(Washington, DC) – Congresswoman Debbie Dingell (MI-12), Co-Chair of the House Democratic Policy and Communications Committee (DPCC), appeared on Mornings with Maria on FOX Business. Dingell stressed that higher wages are long overdue, especially for the workers who kept our society functioning during the pandemic. “I want you to look at who the glue has been for keeping this country together, since we went into shutdown mode over COVID last March. It was people we didn’t think were worth paying enough—paying 15 dollars an hour. All the billionaires and everyone else had a place to go. But it was those people that kept the bus line running, that kept the grocery stores open and stocked. I think we need to look at the value of a human life and the people that are working and pay them what they are giving us as a society. They are worth it. The way that they are working, they are owed it from us. They kept this society going,” said Dingell. Click here to watch ### |
