“Last week, Congress provided the American people with a down payment and a promise of more relief soon. Today, the House of Representatives made good on that promise by voting for $2,000 survival checks to begin to meet the immense need in every corner of this country. This isn’t about keeping score of political wins or losses, it’s about doing our job and helping Americans who have had their lives upended by this horrific pandemic.”
