Dingell Announces $500,000 Grant to Develop Technology Education and Career Pathways for Farmworkers

WASHINGTON, DC - Congresswoman Debbie Dingell (MI-12) today announced $500,000 in the Department of Agriculture’s National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA) grant funding for Ann Arbor’s Corporate for a Skilled Workforce. The funding will be used to help Michigan’s food growers, processers and distributors develop workforce skills through training and job-based experiences. “We need to act swiftly to preserve good-paying American jobs,” said Rep. Debbie Dingell. “Corporation for a Skilled Workforce is leading the way in identifying the needs of farmworkers and preparing them with the skills to succeed in their field.
