Let’s take this opportunity to reflect on the specific work we got done.
During the 117th Congress, I introduced 93 bills and amendments on critical issues, ranging from combatting the growing PFAS contamination crisis impacting communities across the country–particularly here in Michigan-to fixing our very broken long-term care system. We also secured important investments and protections for the Great Lakes, and extended access to crucial tele-health care that many have come to depend on over the last few years. I’m thankful to all the advocates and support of my colleagues for helping to pass 42 of my bills in the House, and 21 signed into law by President Biden.
I hosted 150 town halls and community events to ensure you have the opportunity to communicate with me directly about what’s keeping you up at night, as well as provide information on issues ranging from COVID-19, PFAS, toxic spills, environmental cleanups, and flooding, among others. Listening to your concerns is one of the most important parts of my job.
We assisted 3,200 Michiganders navigate issues with the IRS, USCIS, the VA, and passport agency, and my team helped recover more than $9.1 million for MI-12 residents. We responded to over 116,000 constituent letters and more than 100,000 calls from constituents.
My top priority in Congress is to listen to your concerns and to help address the issues that are important to you and your family. Please know my office is always here to help and we can be reached by calling our DC office at (202) 225-4071 or the district office at (313) 278-2936. You can also email me through my website here.
