Congresswoman Debbie Dingell (MI-06) today announced that the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor will receive $6,241,941 for aging, neurological disorders, mothers and children, cancer biology, diabetes, lung disease, endocrinology, and metabolic research.

"This funding is crucial for continuing research into diseases that impact Americans daily and to ensuring the best possible quality of life for all Michiganders," said Dingell. "Our most vulnerable populations need our help, and this research will continue to advance disease prevention and treatment."

Projects receiving funding include:

$692,911 for research for mothers and children.
$224,509 for aging research.
$1,279,980 for diabetes, endocrinology, and metabolic research. 
$441,405 for cancer biology research.
$437,855 for clinical research related to neurological disorders. 
$420,313 for cancer treatment research.
$723,480 for lung disease research.
$1,696,857 for clinical research related to neurological disorders.
