Dingell Announces Nearly $5 Million Grant Renewal for Michigan Manufacturing Technology Center

Congresswoman Debbie Dingell (MI-06) today announced the Michigan Manufacturing Technology Center has been awarded a $4,940,100 grant renewal from the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) Program.

“Shoring up our domestic manufacturing is more important than ever, and is critical to our national and economic security,” Dingell said. “This grant will support the Michigan Manufacturing Technology Center’s work to strengthen local manufacturing and supply chains, and assist local manufacturers in a variety of areas including cybersecurity, operations, advanced technology, and leadership development.”

Through its collaborations at the federal, state, and local level, the Center will work with manufacturers to improve processes, develop new products, expand and diversify markets, adopt new technology, and enhance value within supply chains. The center aims to provide U.S. manufacturers in Michigan access to resources they need to generate positive business results and to compete and succeed in the global economy.
