Congresswoman Debbie Dingell (MI-06) today announced that the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor will receive $7,469,137 in grant funding from the National Science Foundation (NSF) for projects including molecular and cellular bioscience, computing and communication foundations, behavioral and cognitive science, and more.
“This funding for the University of Michigan will be used to further research on the weather-climate interface, helping us to better understand the science behind storms and how we can best prepare for them while also providing support to those who may have been disproportionally affected," said Dingell.
The National Science Foundation (NSF) supports research, innovation, and discovery that provides the foundation for economic growth in this country. By advancing the frontiers of science and engineering, our nation can develop the knowledge and cutting-edge technologies needed to address the challenges we face today and will face in the future.
