WJR: Michigan Politicians React to U.S. Joining War in Iran

Michigan politicians are reacting to the offensive U.S. strikes on Iran, with Democrats showing concern over the escalation in the war in the Middle East without Congressional approval.

U.S. Rep Debbie Dingell (MI-6) responded on WJR to the Trump administration joining Israel’s war on Iran by ordering bunker buster bombs to be dropped on three nuclear energy sites in Iran, with Iran responding by attacking a U.S. airbase in Qatar Monday, saying that Democrats were not briefed about the strike. “Congress must approve going to war,” Dingell said. “This was military action. I do not want to see another prolonged war in the Middle East. I do not want to put our young men and women at risk, and I want to try to pursue diplomatic efforts if at all possible.“
