Congresswoman Debbie Dingell (MI-06) will host a public forum on Wednesday, June 28, to provide updates about the Gelman Sciences dioxane plume and listen to community concerns. Dingell will be joined by representatives from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE), and the state Attorney General’s office, as well as state legislators and local officials from Washtenaw County, Ann Arbor, Ann Arbor Township, Scio Township, and surrounding communities.
Rep. Dingell has long advocated for the Gelman dioxane plume to be designated a Superfund site, and is working closely with the EPA, EGLE, and officials at every level of government to ensure the health and safety of all nearby communities.
