U.S. Congresswoman Debbie Dingell (MI-12) released the following statement after the Michigan Supreme Court rejected Gelman Sciences’ appeal seeking to overturn a decision by a local court judge.

“This ruling is welcome news that will help the community and all stakeholders fight for a more just and comprehensive solution to the Gelman dioxane plume. This contamination has been spreading through the groundwater in Ann Arbor for decades because of an irresponsible business practice by Gelman Sciences. The company should be held accountable and be responsible for cleanup. I remain committed to coordinating with all stakeholders to ensure this contamination is properly remediated that that families and the environment are protected.”
