“The Supreme Court’s decision to allow President Trump’s Muslim ban to go into effect while legal challenges continue in the lower courts is extremely disappointing. Freedom of religion is a fundamental pillar of our Constitution, and the President’s executive order represents a thinly veiled ban on entry to this country based on religion. This hateful action will keep people apart from their loved ones, and as national security experts have warned, make our country less safe. It goes against everything our nation stands for, and we will continue to fight against these efforts to divide us.”
