Dingell on Biden Buy American Executive Orders

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congresswoman Debbie Dingell (D-MI) today released the following statement applauding President Joe Biden’s Buy American Executive Orders. “In Michigan, we know that our economy is only as strong as the workers who power it at the factories and manufacturers in our communities,” said Congresswoman Dingell. “With these Buy American executive orders, President Biden and Vice President Harris are strengthening labor unions, leveraging federal contracts to support domestic manufacturing, and investing in American workers. For years, House Democrats have advanced policies to create lasting, equitable growth in our economy by building American goods produced by American workers. Less than a week into this Administration, it is clear that we have a partner committed to that same mission in the White House.” Last year, Dingell introduced the Medical Supplies for Pandemics Act, which would strengthen the Strategic National Stockpile to improve the federal ability to respond to future disasters and pandemics.
