As Teacher Appreciation Week comes to a close, I want to take a moment to honor just a few of the many teachers in Michigan’s 12th District that have truly gone above and beyond for our students this past year.

With the Coronavirus forcing schools to move rapidly to remote learning to keep students, teachers, and school staff safe, our teachers worked overtime to adapt to an entirely new style of learning for most. They used their creativity and resourcefulness to keep students engaged and parents involved in every part of their child’s education.

Our teachers have been heroes for children across the country throughout COVID, and well before. We are so thankful for their tireless work to preserve the quality of student’s education and support parents who have been instrumental partners during this time.
