Congresswoman Debbie Dingell, D-Dearborn, is inviting Southeastern Michigan students to create a holiday message for veterans.

Students can make homemade Valentine's Day cards for veterans in the John D. Dingell Veterans Affairs Medical Center and the Ann Arbor Veterans Affairs Healthcare System.

"This Valentine's Day, we need your help on an important project to make sure our local veterans know we love them as much as they love our country," Dingell said in a press release.

Dingell will deliver the cards to the hospitals on Valentine's Day weekend.

People can drop off cards by Thursday, Feb. 12, at the Ypsilanti office, 301 W. Michigan Ave., or the Dearborn office, 19855 W. Outer Drive, or call 313-278-2936 to arrange for pickup.
