Congresswoman Debbie Dingell (MI-06) released the following statement on her “no” vote on House Republicans’ extreme 2025 Military Construction, Veterans Affairs, and Related Agencies funding bill.
“Taking care of veterans is always one of my top priorities, but this bill would hurt them, not help them. This issue should never be divisive or partisan, but today it was. This legislation would cut military construction, worsening quality of life for servicemembers and their families and hurting our military readiness, limit women veterans’ access to health care, and leave military installations vulnerable to natural disasters and climate change, among other harmful provisions. We must come together to support our veterans and their families, and this bill simply does not do that.” More details on the 2025 Military Construction, Veterans Affairs, and Related Agencies funding bill are available here. |
