Dingell Applauds Additional $74.5M Investment in Michigan from Treasury Department’s Hardest Hit Fund
Ann Arbor, MI,
February 19, 2016
Congresswoman Debbie Dingell (MI-12) today released the following statement after the U.S. Treasury Department announced it would obligate an additional $74,491,816 to Michigan through the Hardest Hit Fund (HHF) program. The funding will allow the Michigan State Housing Development Authority (MSHDA) to continue assisting struggling homeowners and stabilizing neighborhoods in communities hardest hit by the economic downturn. “This is another important step in the Administration’s effort to help communities and homeowners recover from the depths of the recession and build a brighter future. We will all work together to ensure this funding is targeted to areas of greatest need, including blight remediation programs which have helped stabilize the housing market and create safer and more economically vibrant neighborhoods in cities throughout Southeast Michigan.” |
