Today, Congresswoman Debbie Dingell (D-MI) made the following statement after a judge dismissed the Siddiqui Family’s lawsuit against the US Marine Corps:

“We have a moral responsibility to hold those responsible accountable for Private Siddiqui’s death and continue to pursue justice for the Siddiqui family. No family should have to endure this kind of tragedy. I continue to believe that the coroner should revisit the suicide declaration as even the Marine’s investigation shows not all the facts were present at the time of the ruling. My office remains committed to serving the Siddiqui family through their loss and help them find any peace of mind possible.”
