Dingell Tours Ann Arbor SPARK, Meets with Local Small Business

Ann Arbor, MI – Today, Congresswoman Debbie Dingell (MI-12) toured Ann Arbor SPARK – a local small business incubator – and met with local small business that work with SPARK to advance economic activity in the Ann Arbor Region. The small business Dingell met with include auto companies, healthcare companies, and organizations that focus on eliminating gender-based violence. A full list of the companies Dingell met with can be found here

Dingell kicked off the day by meeting with local entrepreneurs at the SPARK Central Innovation Center. The companies she met with at the Innovation center include Every Two Minutes; PBC; Dynamo Metrics; Intvo; Canopy; and Nostrum High Performance.

Following the visit to SPARK, Dingell joined leaders from Ann Arbor SPARK for a walking tour of two companies that have their own space nearby. These businesses Dingell toured are Spellbound AR and Refraction.

“Organizations like SPARK are one of the driving forces behind Ann Arbor’s thriving economy,” said Dingell. “Southeast Michigan is a hub for emerging companies and entrepreneurs. We must ensure they have the opportunities and resources needed to explore innovative business ideas and position themselves for future success.”

In Congress, Dingell has continued to work to create a better climate for startups to get off the ground and grow, including investing in infrastructure, research and development and STEM education, and ensuring sustainable and usable capital is accessible to entrepreneurs.
