Dingell: Governor’s Mobility Actions Move Michigan Forward

DETROIT, MI – Today, Congresswoman Debbie Dingell (D-MI) issued the following statement after Michigan Governor Whitmer announced executive actions to support Michigan’s leadership in next-generation mobility: “Michigan is uniquely situated to be the center of the automotive and mobility ecosystem,” said Dingell. “We are the home of the global auto industry. In order to remain at the center of advanced mobility technologies we must take steps to ensure Michigan remains at the forefront of innovation. By creating the new Office of Future Mobility led by a new Chief Mobility Officer as well as a new Michigan Council on Future Mobility and Electrification, Governor Whitmer is keeping Michigan competitive. Working together with the auto industry, research centers, and government of all levels we are ensuring the heart of the auto industry stays right here in Michigan.” ### |
